PROBLEM SOLVED. WHEW. I would of hated to have lost it all :/
Now that I can finally log back in, what is new? Well, a month after I was rear ended, I still have not received any type of settlement from the at fault driver's company - EVEN with them accepting liability.
To make matters worse, Cape Fear Valley (local hospital) used all the $2,000 med pay I had with MY insurance, after I told them NOT TO, because it was intended for my chiropractor.
Apparently, my calling Cape Fear EVERY SINGLE DAY after I mailed the consent form (after finding out Geico would accept liability) and telling them not to bill (my good neighbor haha) they took it upon themselves to be sneaky bastards and do it anyway.
I spoke with some one in charge of the insurance billing only to get frustrated. They have no documentation of my calls, BUT I DO. Since my verbal requests did not work and they double billed both Geico and State Farm I am stuck having to pay my chiro out of pocket (GRRR).
State Farm said because I gave Cape Fear consent (even though i tried desperately for a month to retract ti and they lied to me) State Farm was under contractual obligation to pay it even though I SAID NOT TO, and even though on my signed consent with my "good neighbor" I only gave them authorization to pay my chiropractor.
So in short, I realize all of this is so much bigger than I am and after much crying and stress, I am hiring an attorney. Sure, they get 33% contingency fees, but at this point it will be worth every red cent.
I never imagined in my life when I have been a great driver for the last 15+ years with no tickets, no accidents etc, that I would get into one through no fault of my own and have such a headache over it all (literally).
The chiropractor has done such a great job at realigning the vertebrae and by my second week with him he had cured my headaches. I had them daily since my accident (do to it messing up my cervical spine).
I am very thankful to him.
Now I will let the lawyer handle both insurance companies and the hospital's double dipping b/s and get my med pay back.
My best advice if you're involved in an accident? - Even if it seems cut and dry? HIRE A DARN LAWYER, EVERY ONE you see is going to be money hungry, may as well let it be the person who has your best interest at heart.
I hope everyone else has been blessed. :))
